BIOGRAPHY

Chanel Perdichizzi

Born in 2000, Chanel has been playing harp since she was 6. She started her training in Luxembourg with Catherine Beynon and pursued with Cécile Marichal in Brussels. Since June 2011, she has been studying with Sophie Hallynck.

2010

She is awarded first prize at the Harpegio national competition in Brussels in category “1”.

2012

At the national Harpegio competition in Brussels, Chanel receives first prize in category “3”. She takes part in the international Félix Godefroid competition in Tournai (Belgium) where she wins 3rd prize in the “Young talents” category.

2014

She unanimously wins the first medal with the felicitations of the jury in the “Middle 1” category at the international harp competition in Limoges (France) as well as 2d prize in category “4” at the Hapregio competition in Brussels. In March and May, in Brussels, she takes part in the opening of the Étonnants voyages (Surprising Travels) exhibition at the Fayla Gallery and accompanies the Mosaïque dance show at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.

2015

In April, she gets first prize at the international HarpAcademy competition in Sandstedt (Germany). In June, Chanel was admitted at the IMEP (Music and Education Institute) in Namur as a young talent in the class of Sophie Hallynck. In September, Chanel unanimously receives first prize at the International Suoni d'Arpa competition in the “solisti di arpa a pedali fino a 16 anni” category in Saluzzo (Piedmont, Italy).

2016

The Luxemburgian National Cultural Fund awards her an encouragement prize of the Michelle Foundation to take part in a Master Class at the Summer International Academy in Nice (France).
In november, Chanel is finalist of the Martine Géliot international harp competition that took place in Fontainebleau (France).

2017

Following the Prodiges television show on France 2, Chanel finds a precious sponsor for the purchase of her new harp: Jacqueline Custot (Switzerland).
In march, she receives the second prize at the Félix Godefroid international competition (Belgium) in the “Excellence” category. She receives the highest distinction at the “diplôme supérieur” of the Luxembourg music conservatory in Liane Harnes' class.
Finalist of the 2017 Classic Academy competition (Belgium), she is featured as a soloist, in june, with the Liège Royal Philarmonic Orchestra in the first movement of Reinhold Glière's concerto.
Thanks to her first prize at the Suoni d'Arpa competition in 2015, she performs a recital, in july, at the Festival Musica in Villa at the Villa di Vico, Florence (Italy).

2018

On April 26, Chanel performs with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra in Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo. In September, she officially enters Bachelors 1 at the IMEP (Institut supérieur de musique et de pédagogie de Namur) in Sophie Hallynck's class.

2019

April, Chanel was honoured to participate in the IAMA International Conference Showcase in the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf.

2020

In 2020, Chanel has the pleasure to record the piece El canto quiere ser luz (creation 2020) by Markus Brönnimann (b. 1968) with the Kammerata Luxembourg (New Chamber Music from Luxembourg) for the CD Echoes of Autumn and Light. She obtained her Bachelor's degree with great distinction at the IMEP and entered the Master's class of Xavier de Maistre at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (Germany).

2021

In 2021, she will perform for the online project Quintatön, a collaboration of the five most important classical music festivals on the Saar and Mosel rivers. Since September, Chanel has been teaching music education and music theory at the music school in Grevenmacher. In May, she graduated with 1.06 grade points from the “Master of Music - Instrumentalmusik mit dem Hauptfach Harfe” at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.

2022

In September 2022, she has the pleasure to open her harp class at the music school of Grevenmacher.

Masterclass

She took part in several Masterclasses with Anja Linder, Bernard Andres, Samia Bousbaine, Marielle Nordmann, Germaine Lorenzini, Isabelle Perrin, Isabelle Moretti, Elizabeth Fontan-Binoche, Agnès Clément, Luisa Prandina, and Marie-Pierre Langlamet.
